It re opened in 1991 and if successful will be the site for Siemens wind energy machine manufacturing plant. Pictured: 100 Ton Steam Crane, Alexandra Dock. This fixed-jib steam crane was built by James Taylor & Co. of Birkenhead for the Hull & Barnsley Railway Company in 1886, the year that the company opened the Alexandra Dock. Last used in the early 1980's, it is now a "listed building".
